All spoilery in nature, of course, and therefore safely hidden beneath a cut.

The end of the movie left the surviving (for now) characters at different locations in partly new combinations, and unsurprisingly, my favourite of these is the fact that Nebula and Tony Stark are left stranded on an alien planet, with issues galore and a burning need to be elsewhere. I hoped this would inspire people, and lo, it did. Two of my favourite results so far:

Nothing and Everything: Nebula pov; the immediate aftermath of the movie. Captures both voices as well as the nature of shock and grief when you've never learned to process it really well.

Hitching a Ride: also mainly a Nebula pov, with some Tony pov sections, but this one is a road, err, space trip story. In which it takes Nebula and her new Terran mechanic weeks to reach Earth, for several reasons, and that means accordingly more time to clash and adjust.

Speaking of clash and adjust; the Stark-Strange bickering and cooporating in the movie was fun, and the thought process that led to Dr. Strange's final decision in the movie is captured in this one:

Five Times Tony Surprised Stephen Strange

Thanks for the recs, I agree the Enbula and Tony pairing is really interesting, not least because she will have no time for his ego or bullshit, and is smarter, better at engineering than he is, and has more mechanical body parts. Essentially, that's his whole identity, and she's doing better than he is!

hitiching a Ride is a great fic, I haven't read the otehr two, but I'm bookmarking them now. :)
