Yes to 1,2,3 and 5, but not to the rest. Incidentally, the Scorpius/Scorpion thing hit me about a moment when I posted that. I would have taken the astronaut emoji for John, though, if that had been the ship I meant. It's a different one. (I can't remember whether you're familiar with the canon, but I believe not. It's more recent than Farscape, though.)

(Trust you to get Londo/G'Kar, though. I was first afraid this was too difficult, but then I thought, nah, KdS will understand. :))

1) Voltaire/Fritz, we know that already.
2) A pair of eyes and an unhappy, probably abused boy. Page Peter Keith spying on FW for teenage Fritz?
3) There can be only one swan. Der einzige! So that has to be Algarotti and newly enthroned Fritz, haha.
4) Oh, no, that has to be Katte cheerfully waving goodbye while Fritz has an emotional breakdown watching, OMGGGG. :-(((
5) This one made me laugh so hard. It was also the easiest. Traveling sugar daddy Suhm in St. Petersburg, shipped with Fritz's mail delivery! :DD
6) My best guess here is a duet between the two musicians in the remaining boyfriend pairing, Fritz and Fredersdorf. Alternatively, could be Fritz and Wilhelmine. :P

The last one was supposed to be Wilhelmine and Fritz; ideally, there would have been a lute and a flute, but alas a banjo and concert/note/trumpet emojis would have to do, due to a severe lack of flutes and lutes. I couldn’t find something good for Fredersdorf. All the others, you guessed, though the eyes for Peter were because he’s cross-eyed.

Wilhelmine: I thought it might be her and her lute, but I wasn't sure if you were going for traditional romantic/sexual pairings, or if "almost-a-scandal" counted too. ;)

Wow, the last one almost stumped me. I really only got it accidentally because I started to write about FW in another context (the Peter Keith pairing from the last round), and then I remembered FW took up painting at the end of his life and painted all his giants. Oooh, this was a good one (assuming I'm right). :D

Definitely! Now that you mention it, I can see the connection, but I wouldn't have made it on my own. In fact, I considered Joseph and Austrian reforms first as it was, and then I remembered FS and decided you would go with a more traditional human-human pairing, especially since we're so fond of them and their happy marriage.

And ha, yes, when I saw the painter emoticon relatively close to the Guardsman, I couldn't resist...

I got the first three of these and I feel very pleased with myself! (As I am usually rubbish at this sort of thing.)

For the fourth for some reason I got in my head it was a French person and a Russian person and was trying to figure out what pairing that might be... (I'm sure there is one, but not one I know well enough to come up!) Lolololol at the Potsdam giants, though!

The fact that the same icon was used for Fritz and Heinrich I totally thought was great. I know it's because they're both royals, but the "other self" application immediately came to mind.

I too thought it was Russian first! I kept trying to do something with some combination of Catherine, Peter, and Poniatowksi. Then I thought it was a British guard, and I spent a long time trying to do something with British players. Then I decided it was just a guard, and I spent a long time trying to make it work with a specific guard. Then I googled the emoji, and Google said it was a female guard, but I eventually decided that was a red herring.

The biggest problem is that whenever I tried to access the "artist" category in my head, FW wasn't there! I never would have gotten it if I hadn't been thinking of him for a different reason.

It was deliciously tricksy. You *really* have to know your history for that one. FS being a good businessman I remembered from twenty years ago, so that wasn't too bad once I tried MT instead of Joseph, but the jewel anecdote I would never have connected to FS without a prompt.

Heh, well, once I knew it was the Austrian flag I just assumed the ship was FS/MT because my OTP, and then was like "oh, right, he was a businessman." I never even thought it might be Joseph! Probably because I have no ships with Joseph, poor guy. (I mean, I am all for the AU selenak mentioned before where he realizes what's going on with Isabella and lets her be happy... but that's not really a ship for him at all, is it.)

LOL, yeah, I would neeeeever have associated FW with artist either.

Yeah, I think I had Joseph on the brain because I had just been laughing over his Mirror of Erised entry, which I still think is the funniest, because of the "For some reason, he's wearing a blue uniform" punchline. So then I started shipping Joseph/Austria before I thought, "Duh," and went with the obvious actual marriage. It's funny how your brain gets stuck on things.

Probably because I have no ships with Joseph, poor guy.

We never did get him and Fritz married off in that crackfic. You two (understandably) went in a musical direction, and I had to ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ out of making contributions at that point, alas.
