Katharine Hepburn is dead

One of my favourite actresses of all time. I just read about it here. Young KH and the manic energy of "Bringing up Baby"...middle-aged KH and her splendid turn as Eleanor of Aquitaine which will forever form my idea of this woman in "The Lion in Winter"...

It's a cliché, but like all clichés with a true core: we will not see her like again.

She was an amazing actress. I will love her forever as Eleanor of Aquitaine, and loved her role in 'African Queen' which she kind of reprised in a John Wayne western (the title of which eludes me at present).
96 years... not bad...

...and yes, she was great in that one, too. 96 years and all the parts she wanted to play - by all means it was a good life. But one still feels sad.
