Quickly: watched The Old Guard, which appealed to my inner Highlander (the series, not the movies) fan, have noted the existence of comics it's based on for the mythic future era when I have more time. There's distinct crossover potential, though the two types of immortality do not exactly align. And go, movie, for all the queer canon-ness. (Canocity?)

Also, have two links:

Babylon 5

Roar Unheard and Curling Crest Unseen: lovey, quiet vignette about Delenn and Sinclair in seaosn 1.

Stephen King

Paperback Writer: in which not all but a lot of those writers in movies based on Stephen King novels are (hilariously) vidded to the Beatles tune I can't believe I didn't see was perfect for Stephen King. Now, King famously stated in On Writing: "“I was the guy who had written The Shining without even realizing that I was writing about myself", and Jack Torrance is but one of several sometimes extremely dark and sometimes extremely goofy writerly alter egos. The vid puts it together splendidly.

Aw, that B5 fanfic rec was perfect timing! :)

Cavendish and I have recently started a complete B5 re-watch and if there's one thing I've realised so far it is that I still love the relationship between Sinclair and Delenn as much as I used to. Two characters equipped with a deeply-rooted sense for the spiritual, building bridges where doing so should be impossible because of everything that has happened or will happen (again).

While I haven't got around to watching Sense yet, it sounds just like the type of character-driven show that I might enjoy, so I just added it to my ever growing "Must Watch" list ;-)

In the Beginning as Sinclair's and Delenn's story probably would have added quite a different angle to the retelling of the Earth Minari war from we one that we actually got. So I'm definitely with you in this regard, even though I love In the Beginning just as it is, not least because of all the bitter-sweet Londo scenes.

Thanks for the B5 rec. Lovely little portrait, which oddly made me want to cry for a recently lost RPG character (belonging to another player).

We had a relationship that had an awful lot in common with Sheridan and Delenn, even though they weren't based on that couple.

Pure coincidence that one was an alien commander of a powerful battleship, and the other a very spiritual human.
