One week later than planned due to weather and health reasons, I'm on my skiing vacation in Oberlech, Austria. And the first day was pretty much ideal - not a cloud in sight, glorious snow due to all the snowfall in past weeks, sunshine, and not too many people, because there are no holidays anywhere. It's also very cold (warmest today was minus 7° Celsius, coldest minus 16° on these slopes), but honestly, who cares if all the other stuff is right?

The only downside is that I have nearly no time to go on the net. So emails, postings, t_m roleplaying all has go at snail pace (once a day, if that) until Sunday; anyone I'm owing mail, that's why.

If Carnivale has expired time you get back to a steady net connection, let me know and I'll redo it.

Have fun skiing.

Thank you, I will, and I have! Incidentally, I want to do something to repay your kindness - I can offer fiction in any of my fandoms. If the muses aren't on strike, you have a wish free.

Thank you. If you are including Carnivale as a fandom you can write in, I do have a request. I'll wait until you see the most recent episode though.

have now seen the episode, but....

I've never written Carnivale before, and I don't think I can yet. (Besides, aside from anything else most of the characters speak in slang and dialect, and English isn't my native language.) There is also the motivation issue; if, say, you want me to write Sofie's job interview with Iris, I wouldn't have the language problem (they both don't speak slang), but I couldn't do Sofie's pov, as we don't know about several important things (we saw her affected by the radio broadcasts, but is she controlled, or simply drawn, etc.). I'd have to do an Iris pov which would also have to be speculative on several why's and wherefore's. (Though not impossible.)

So, suggestion: you tell me your request but give me an alternate request in another fandom (say, B5) in case I can't do it.

Completely understood. I'd love anything focusing on Jonesy & Libby, particularly how their past relationships with Sofie influence their current actions. Or any recs of other people writing those three.

Or, how about anything B5 centered around "Intersections in Real Time." Not neccesarily Sheridan or a direct post-ep but anything dealing with what happens in that episode and the implications of the torture/release from any characters POV.

Both ideas have strong possibilities, and I'm currently undecided which to pick. Meanwhile, have you read this (http://www.altogetherelsewhere.net/blueshades/snowflakesandraindrops.html)? Deals with Intersections in Real Time and Sheridan beautifully?

No problem. *g* Vir will wait. It's not like he can go anywhere in his current condition anyway.
