Veronica Mars 2.05
Oct. 28th, 2005 09:25 pmHappy birthday,
k_julia!
Watched Veronica Mars 2.05 and liked, very much. I adore the sibling relationship between Veronica and Wallace, so any episode centering on it was welcome, but this one had other bonuses, too.
My nascent status as a secret Duncan/Logan 'shipper gains canon fodder. I mean, Duncan asked him out on a date! More seriously, the boys making up was good to see, and you could tell they missed each other.
But really, the meat of the episode belonged to Wallace. I like that so far, we're not handed an easy good Mum, evil Dad divergence (or conversely the sudden reveal of Evil!Mom, which given that every other recurring mother on this show seems to be evil or weak is a relief). As for Wallace and Veronica, both her trying to be a good friend and her being flawed enough to take him for granted and be one sided until he points it out rang so true. Wallace asking Veronica not to revenge herself on Jackie while telling Jackie off for having done that to Veronica made me love him even more.
I'm willing to bet he won't be gone for longer than Duncan was in season 1, though, which is a relief, for love demands to be fed by presence.
Sidenote: will we ever see Kendall again, or was that the sum of CC's appearances on the show this season?

Date: 2005-10-28 07:27 pm (UTC)I recently rewatched the pilot and noticed Logan sitting in Duncan's lap. So much canon fodder.

Date: 2005-10-28 09:13 pm (UTC)they HAVE TO be doing it on purpose now, right?
I'm sure there's more Kendall to come, as the two stepkids are in the opening credits.

Date: 2005-10-28 09:19 pm (UTC)There's something very surreal about someone called "Kendall" being played by Charisma Carpenter...
