Here a a rec, there a a rec...

Angel:
Guilt Trip: because you know Wolfram and Hart would be evil enough to have a psychiatrist for the C.E.O. This, like the good comedy episodes of AtS, is hilarious without selling the characters short. Or just go for a repeat of the last time Angel was forced to undergo counselling (in season 2's Guise will be Guise). I'm still giggling.
Heroes:
After a long lack of same, the last days brought several good Heroes gen stories. My favourite is Children of the Moon, which considering my least favourite Heroes character is in it is saying something. A pre-show look at Claire, Isaac, Peter and Gabriel Gray, and the longing to be special.

joonscribble: this is hands down the best Torchwood story I've read so far. Truly stunning. It's a futurefic, describing what happens to the team throughout the next decades, and whether the team members in question get short scenes (Gwen, Ianto) or longer ones (Tosh, Jack and Owen, whose pov it is), they all are drawn with great skill and affection. Given my own prejudices, I have of course to single out the Owen characterisation, because it doesn't whitewash or woobify him at all - the selfishness and pettiness are there along with the sarcasm and the determination - and yet by the time the story ends I'm in tears. In a good way. If you read just one story today, read this one! (Spoilers until 2.08 A Day in the Death.)
