Seriously?
Dec. 9th, 2011 10:05 pmAn hour ago, somewhere in the northwest of Germany:
Man in my own age (i.e. early 40s): "Ms
selenak, maybe you can explain to me why historical novels today are mostly read by and about women. *names a few titles*. Why all these attempts to insert meaningful women into history? Where do all these women come from?"
The week I've been having, I can't tell you. This was actually the humorous conclusion, because I couldn't summon rage as much as a smile of disbelief, but he wasn't a troll, he was totally sincere. He went on to explain he had only lately started to read novels again, and there were all these WOMEN. In history. He didn't remember historical novels being like that before.
....Maybe I should have recommended slash?
