Easter Wells

Not that I'm in the slightest bit envious inhabitants of a certain island get to watch new Dr. Who episodes tonight. No, not me. However, being in Franconia, I got to watch Easter Wells, as every year, which isn't half bad, either. What are Easter Wells? Have a look. Icon makers, if any of these tickle your fancy for an Easter icon, feel free.

	Easter Well Let's start nice and slow. One of the smaller wells, but neat.

So beautiful! I can't imagine how many hours went into each of these.

We're getting new-to-us episodes in the US. I just watched Dalek and liked it muchly. Still going to get the eps on DVD in July, as I hear that like HL, there are Eurominutes to be had.

Dalek was a fantastic episode, and I wouldn't know about Eurominutes, having watched the British version, but it's entirely possible - after all, they were shot in British format, i.e. without the US count of ads in between.

What I did hear were rumours they were going to cut for (bisexual) content later on in the US version, but I hardly see how that would work, given that it would mean nearly cutting out an entire character who is rather important in the later eps...

They only exist in this region of Germany (Franconia) for a very limited amount of time (i.e. during the Easter holidays). The 'rents and self go on a tour through the villages to watch and enjoy each year.

Amazing pictures -- the pink one's especially great. I think we should say Darla taught Kara to make one of these, and Harmony helped :)

reminding me that I need to load photos of my parents' street around Christmas (that is, more like, Thanksgiving to New Years'). The decor is not exactly unique (lots of lights and dolls and,um, cartoon characters), but it is extreme.
