Good things to wake up to before work: an Astonishing X-Men 21 preview is up, the first six pages. Which left me thinking the following:

1) I love John Cassady's art. Also, somehow Scott and Emma looking at an image of mass destruction when we see only their heads from behind manage to make me feel wistful.

2) Speaking of pairings: Joss loves me. Agent Brand and Hank continue to banter and Brand makes Hank go with her. She wants him, I tell you!

3) All the Scott and Logan banter about killing Brand, or not, will make [livejournal.com profile] likeadeuce happy.

And now, to work!

I love being predictable, because it is so easy to make me happy.

They're going to be alone together! Snarking! Fighting and spying! I'm just saying, if Joss doesn't go there, I will once this arc is over...

It is, and Joss Whedon writes it better than most. Plus Brand is one of those characters I'd abhore in RL but adore in fiction, and it's about time Hank gets some action other than to advise everyone else on their angsty lovelives.*g* Arguments about totally opposing viewpoints in politics and the good of the many versus the lives of the few make for great relationship background, as WE KNOW FROM PRECEDENTS IN THIS VERY FANDOM!
