I'm glad that Garber and Rifkin support the strike. I have to say that this whole thing is giving me a positive view of the community spirit between actors and writers and other artists of Hollywood.

Absolutely. So far, many actors have shown solidarity with the writers, going right against the cliché of nobody in the industry caring for anyone but their own wages.
