Centauri scenes
Mar. 12th, 2009 06:01 pmStill in a nostalgic vein: I miss my other space station show, Babylon 5, just as much. Though in this case debating at
b5_revisited helps a bit. As do some favourite scenes, since real life does not always permit the time for whole episodes. Find some of these scenes under the cut.
This scene from Rising Star is at fault for my reaction some years back when someone on my flist reached the last but one episode from season 4 and sobbed their heart out. And I thought "huh? But Rising Star has these absolutely adorable Londo/G'Kar omgtheyaresomarried scenes! It's happy episode!" And then I remembered that, err, something else happened there, too. (To wit: Marcus dies, Ivanova is heartbroken.) Now when I actually watch the episode, I swear I do feel for poor Susan. But whenever I think of it, the very first thing my memory produces is this instead:
The Best Scene Ever from The Fall of Centauri Prime doesn't seem to be on YouTube, which is just as well because this is supposed to be a happy scene collection to make me smile. But the lead-up scene to the big Londo/G'Kar farewell is, and it cracks me up every time because leave to G'Kar to state the truth and yet be vain about it while paying a compliment. *hearts them both*
I was glad to discover YouTube also features a lot of Vir scenes. Here's a collection of comedic ones between him and Londo from their early days on the station to mid season 3. YouTube also has some heartrendering Vir scenes, such as the "dead...dead...dead" one with G'Kar, but as I said, this is a fluff post. Even so, you can see the relationship between him and Londo develop, and admire the superb comic timing Stephen Furst and Peter Jurasik share.
And lastly, a somewhat more serious scene which isn't one of the big ones but captures the friendship between Vir and Londo so well. Their last one from Dust to Dust:
