Actors in tv shows: some of them just read their lines in any script they're given (and possibly the lines of the biggest competition, in order to count who has more), some do their job in a good way but couldn't recall the episodes they acted in if you paid them and give the impression they consider this whole thing a bit childish, some do get involved with the show's writing, which does not make all fans happy (and may result in media-tins mocked for decades, cough, Avon - A Terrible Novel, cough) - the variety is endless. Then there are also actors who think about storylines which have nothing to do with their own characters, and their implications. I've been following reports from DraconCon and had the usual "wish I'd been there" reaction, and never more when I read
asta77's report on Mary McDonnell being awesome. (And Kate Vernon, too.)
Though otoh the description of the audience reaction to the very plot point these ladies objected to is depressing, if not surprising.
