Buffy Meme, from AnnieSJs Journal
May. 15th, 2003 09:59 pmFirst episode you saw:
Teacher's Pet. Wasn't that enthralled. Later on, I watched "Lie to Me", and THEN I was hooked. (Of course then I saw the early episodes on video.)
Your first thought about the show:
Nice, but nothing special. What does Mary see in it? Flash forward to "Lie To Me": Wow. This is complex. Now I'll watch every week.
Why do you love it?:
Can't say it better than Anniesj: Because it's smart, savvy, hilarious, painful, real, fantastic, deep, and dark. It's everything I could ever want out of a television show and so, so much more.
Favorite episode:
Too tough to pick just one. It depends on the mood I'm in. "The Body" for emotional power, raw honesty and brilliance. "Restless" because I can never get enough of the layers. "Once More With Feeling" for tragedy and comedy and songs in perfect unison. "Life Serial" for the fun of it.
Least favorite episode:
"Bad Eggs" competing neck to neck with "Beer Bad".
Best action episode:
"Graduation Day", counting both parts as one.
Episode that made you cry:
"The Gift". And the very last scene (Buffy and Faith outside, and Buffy's "protect them" in "Empty Places".
Episode that kept you in suspense:
"Hush" - the Gentlemen certainly were the creepiest one-shot monsters.
Favorite quote:
Too many to count, but for sheer iconic power, I'll go with "I'm Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, and you are?"
Quote that made you cry:
"Close your eyes." "Do not move the body!" "So I guess a Slayer is just a killer after all." "Protect them."
Funniest quote:
Also too many to count, but right know what comes to mind is: "I'm here to kill you, Buffy, not to judge you."
Best ‘speech’:
I'll go with two Jonathan speeches - from "The Prom", and his last words in "Conversations with Dead People".
Most surprising moment:
Buffy kisses Spike in "Intervention". That, or Jonathan's death.
Moment you couldn't watch:
I'm a masochist. Bring it on, I'll watch it.
Saddest death:
Buffy's in "The Gift". Even more so in retrospect.
Favorite character:
In season 2 and 3, it used to be Cordelia. Afterwards, Buffy.
Least favorite character:
Mr. Trick. Never cared for him.
Funniest character:
Early Cordy; Andrew
Best looking character:
Right now, of the regulars? Anya or Dawn.
Bravest character:
They're all brave; am torn between Dawn and Buffy if I have to choose.
Smartest character:
The Mayor.
Character you would most like to be in combat with:
Not exactly sure about the question. In the sense of "fighting against"? Or "fighting with, protecting me"? Since I have zero fighting skills, I'll have to go with "able to protect me".
Character you most wanna hug:
Dawn and Buffy both.
Character who wasn't in season 7 that you miss the most:
Tara, but not in the sense I'd want to see her resurrected. Her death was a quintessential part of Willow's storyline.
Character with the best hair:
Early Cordelia. (Insert mourning for Cordy's long brunette tresses along with her personality in Angel, season 3.)
Character with the biggest attitude:
Ego-wise? Angelus.
Favorite scene of all time:
Depends on my mood, again. Right now, I'm feeling misty and nostalgic due to imminent show demise, so: Buffy getting the class protector award.
Least favorite scene of all time:
"Dead Man's Party", Xander, Willow and Joyce ripping into Buffy.

*Sigh* Good memories.

Ain't it the truth, you angst-addict, you. One quick question, though, on this:
Character you would most like to be in combat with:
Not exactly sure about the question. In the sense of "fighting against"? Or "fighting with, protecting me"? Since I have zero fighting skills, I'll have to go with "able to protect me".
So . . . who *would* you most like to be in combat with? My answer? If I had to fight against somebody on the show, it's no contest: Jonathan, especially if magic isn't allowed. If I had to have someone protecting me, Buffy every time. Or maybe 3rd season Angel, just for the hunk factor. Either one.
Oops!
