[livejournal.com profile] theatrical_muse is time-consuming fun. By now, [livejournal.com profile] londo_mollari found a new friend from the Farscape universe, has started a philosophical debate with Jeffrey Sinclair, and found Vir again.

Somewhat late, as usual, that end-of-year meme:

Looking back, did you write more than you thought you would?

Did I ever. I really was planning to cut back on the fanfiction. Instead, my girl Darla talked to me again and brought Connor along for reinforcement, I got into correspondence with [livejournal.com profile] andrastewhite which resulted in detailed Warren exploration and a musical devoted to the Trio, and my old love for Babylon 5 and Deep Space Nine came back with a vengeance.

What did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2003?

The musical. And the Babylon 5 stuff. I've been hankering after Londo, G'Kar and Vir-centric fanfic for eons but was much too intimidated by the greatness of their canon scenes to consider trying for myself. Especially since Londo and G'Kar are two of the most verbose characters ever to grace the screen, with a distinct style.

What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest.
A tie between Truth or Dare (aka: Londo and G'Kar - or even Londo/G'Kar? I did it! I truly did it!) and Five Things Which Never Happened to Warren. The later because it gave me a chance to write a character not very explored by fandom, and the five alternate routes were a great way to do it. And it was my way to put my cherished Willow and Warren as doppelgangers theory into writing.

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
My two biggest risks belong to my RL self and hence are not a subject here. Otherwise? See above. Tackling B5 characters and trying my hand on filk.

What I learned: Londo Mollari won't shut up, especially when aided by evil tempting people.

Do you have any writing goals for the new year?
Cut back on the fanfiction. No, really. Maybe a Connor story, exloring the summer he spent with Fred and Gunn. An essay about literary influences from Macbeth to LotR in Babylon 5. We'll see.

Muahahaha!

Ahem... sorry about that. *wink* But there isn't much chance of that, is there? What, with [livejournal.com profile] celestial_templ, [livejournal.com profile] thefiringline and [livejournal.com profile] theatrical_muse and all...

I know, I know, fat chance

Though I don't think I can write something for [livejournal.com profile] thefiringline just now. Not only am I not in possession of The Gathering, I just did my bit for [livejournal.com profile] celestial_templ, and I'm transcribing the Ambassor's musings...

So...you've just started writing a guy who won't shut up. Pardon my mirth *eg*.
