Mostly Much Muse Mulling
Mar. 29th, 2004 11:57 pmThe only downside of being back at home is the fact that the 'rents frown on my internet habit. No, being 34 doesn't help. And this at a time where the muses are all terribly busy.
londo_mollari leads a strange double life of writing angsty journal entries on the one hand and shamelessly continuing to flirt with
shadow_anna on the other (not to mention organising Vir's Ascension Day party, since Vir missed out the other one.
hobsonphile made an invitation for it, which is too pretty not to show (off):

And speaking of
hobsonphile -
andrastewhite, avert your unspoiled eyes - she wrote her first entry as Shiv'kala, the Drakh who's
londos_torment. *putting on my best Vader invitation*: The Force is strong in that one. The Dark Side is her destiny.
Meanwhile, my other muse,
tm_carolyn, has been busy catching up with the challenges but got around to making friends -
shadow_anna and
varzil_neskaya (aka Varzil Ridenow from MZB's Darkover novels, which tickles me since I loved them as a teenager - still do, as far as the classic ones are concerned, not the ghastly later ones). Considering poor Carolyn shows up in precisely one episode (though she's referred to repeatedly afterwards) and has a single line of dialogue, to which we can add Bester's description of her as given to Sheridan and finish the canon background, writing her is a complete contrast to writing Londo with his overabundance on canon background. But so far, it's fun. I even got her into a debate with [Bad username or site: mikegaribaldi. @ livejournal.com]*g*
Lastly, the wonderful artaxastra has written another fabulous X-Men story - Mystique between X1 and X2, working as Senator Kelly and searching for Magneto. (Complete with some fun asides on contemporary politics.) I adore the way artaxastra writes Mystique. Best Trusted Lieutenant ever - and in a way that shows how interesting she is in her own right. The story is here.

Date: 2004-03-29 01:52 pm (UTC)Strangely enough I found a piece of paper a couple of days ago consisting of a collection of names I liked from the Darkover novels! Yikes, I must have written that about ten years ago... Used to love those books when I was younger. Hmm, maybe I should put them on my list of books to re-read :)
Well...
