In which Diane is the best, as is her wont.

I very much enjoyed this episode in totem, but unquestioningly Diane responding to the Will/Alicia discovery by making them take a class about sexual harrassment at the working place was pretty much the best thing ever. In other news, I'm also glad we keep Dana (now pissed off at greedy law firms), and Peter's former lawyer whom Alicia hired was great. (Presumably also played by an actress whom I ought to know, but I don't.)

The subplot about Alicia vs the Treasury Representative was a good reminder of Alicia as a woman of conscience, and I think also the first time since the season opener where we saw her showing some Kalinda-directed emotion (and protective emotion at that). Which made me happy. Also, thanks, show, for pointing out the entire post 9/11 creepiness is alive and well under Obama, too.

I have to partially withdraw my complaint about the second Celeste episode, since the Will used to gamble thing actually served a more imported purpose than to show what a reformed character Will is now. (Of course, knowing he actually stole money to cover his debts back in the gambling day makes Celeste's invitation to gamble downright vicious.)  The scene between Cary and Peter was great, because of course Cary is right and Peter is very much influenced by the fact this is Will, but otoh Peter has a point about Bishop. Also I liked what this scene said about their relationship - can't imagine Cary talking to Childs about the ethics and motivations in pursuing such a case.

Btw, if Peter is being ambiguos, Will is childish with the "grow a pair ofnballs and throw a punch" taunt. Reminds me of his punching round last season. Eh, I know I'm biased against Will, but please.

One more thing about Cary: last year's efforts to comfort Kalinda in her time of distress were no fluke, it seems; he's really getting good at this, going by his attempt with Dana.
