...err, with the caveat that in many a fandom I don't have a (romantic) OTP, either canon or non-canon, so you might get an answer like Locke/Ben/The Island or Sarah/Everyone but not in a romantic manner. ( But there's hope - in some fandoms I actually ship like no one's business.) Also a lot of the people I love to bits in fiction I would stay the hell away from in real life, so I'm not sure how much marriage or best friend material will be around...

Date: 2011-12-15 06:26 pm (UTC)Favorite character: Used to be Methos, is now Amanda.
Least Favorite character: Used to be Richie, is now Charley. Sorry, Charley.
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Duncan/Amanda, Duncan/Methos, Methos & Cassandra in an utterly unromantic way, but there is a reason why I wrote a trilogy about them, Joe & Duncan & Methos, Amanda & Rebecca.
Character I find most attractive: Still Methos, that hasn't changed.
Character I would marry: None. Not even Joe. Sorry, Joe.
Character I would be best friends with: Do spin-off characters count? Liam the priest from Highlander: The Raven, if so. Otherwise I hope Amanda, though it would be high maintenance.
A random thought: Good old HL. I'm still terribly fond of it. *hums Queen song*
An unpopular opinion: The Horsemen episodes were great, but I still say they should have skipped or shortened the Western sequence in favour of showing that Cassandra, a 3000 years old Immortal, can actually fence and that Kronos is simply better.
Canon OTP: what I love about Duncan/Amanda is that they aren't a Pairing of Destiny (tm), but great friends who keep becoming lovers now and then without being able to manage actually living together, and without pining for each other when they're with someone else. It's on of my favourite m/f relationships on tv.
Non-canon OTP:
Most badass character: Joe. Holding his mortal own against K'immies, crappy fellow Watchers and demons for years and gracefully so while being there for his friends.
Pairing I am not a fan of: I don't think I have an anti-pairing in this fandom. I mean, obviously there are some combinations that elicit no more than a shrug from me, but none that evokes active dislike.
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): what everyone was doing sans Duncan in the show finale was less than inspired or likely for all of them, but you can easily fanwank that since it's one long Duncan dream canonically anyway. Otherwise, as I said, some sword time for Cassandra before she is disarmed in CaH, and also Amanda should have been the one to behead Rebecca's killer, but in neither case would I say the entire characters were screwed up by the writers.
Favourite friendship: If we discount Duncan and Amanda because of the lovers dimension, Duncan & Joe.

Date: 2011-12-15 06:08 pm (UTC)Least Favorite character: Jack Sheppard, though I actually came around in the last two seasons or so to sometimes fond toleration.
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Jin/Sun, Locke/The Island, Ben/The Island, Hurley/Geekness, Ben/Locke.
Character I find most attractive: on a purely physical level? Sayid.
Character I would marry: *squints* None. Not even Hurley. Sorry, Hugo.
Character I would be best friends with: Hurley, most definitely!
A random thought: I wonder whether the Michael Emerson and Terry O'Quinn former agents show is still in the planning?
An unpopular opinion: I still say the episode with Mother, Smokey and Jakob was the best individual ep of season 6.
Canon OTP: We agree on Island/Locke. :)
Non-canon OTP: Hm, High School AU Locke/Ben is sort of canon, isn't it?
Most badass character: Danielle. Curse you, canon.
Pairing I am not a fan of: The dreary Jack/Kate/Sawyer triangle. Which brings me to:
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): You know, I'm tempted to say Locke because I suspect the rationale what happened to him was "Terry is the best actor other than Michael and we want him to play the big bad, but we don't want Locke to end up being the big bad. So we need to kill off Locke so that Terry can play Smokey!" But Locke got the Sideways verse to work out some more of his issues post mortem, and got so many good episodes before, so no. My next choice would be Sun, because I suspect they had no idea what to do with her and Jin after season 2 or 3 but didn't want to lose the characters, so basically they were on a standstill background. Otoh they never were written badly, so, no, not them, either. Which leads me to Kate, who I think was terribly ill served for most of the show, getting nothing to do but be the love interest competed for by two male characters - but Kate actually ended up well, because once she was off the island, the writing magically improved, and I loved what they did with her in season 6, especially that she went back for Claire, and ended up leaving with Claire. So: Danielle, for being needlessly killed off. The death of Alex had a point, but not her mother's.
Favourite friendship: Sawyer and Myles in both realities are ever so entertaining together, but Hurley & everyone win.
Character I want to adopt or be adopted by: In an Abramsverse show? None. Though I suppose I could to worse than Kate.
