In a word, fantastic

So Christopher Eccleston plays the main villain in Thor 2. Colour me amused that the IGN article reassures us that "Eccleston is no stranger to comic book-oriented fare having played Destro in G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra and having a stint on the TV series Heroes", but doesn't mention at all he was the Ninth Doctor (despite using a photo of Eccleston in that role). He really goes out of his way to play that connection down, doesn't he?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to see him menace Asgard. With or without Elven ears. Can we get a scene where he's witheringly unimpressed by Loki and his emo, pretty please? Few people do witheringly unimpressed and sarcastic as well as Eccleston.

I think that it's less Eccleston playing it down as that IGN isn't interested in anything that isn't American and isn't a computer game or (very narrowly defined) superhero comic.

When you would rather be remembered as Destro in that horrid film, as opposed to the Doctor, clearly you hated your time on Who. Which is still a shame, because I adored his Doctor. And I really, really hated G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra for so many reasons (lack of agency on the part of The Baroness being only the tip of the iceberg).

This may be one of the few things that I'm looking forward to in Thor 2, besides the return of Jane and Darcy. I swear if I have to have to endure anymore movie Loki, I might scream.

If both Jane and Darcy return for Thor 2 I will literally run down to my street and start dancing. They are some of my favorite characters in this universe and I just want more and more of them.

I keep hearing that she can't say yes or no offically, which makes me wonder if she's in an extra scene at the end or something? Not part of the main movie but referenced a bit?

I love Darcy so much and I just want her in the mooooovie so I hold out all the hope.
