Last week we had the Grand Nagus Zek, this week Odo shows up. Can Quark be far behind?

The part I enjoyed the most were Kalinda and Robin, who do indeed make a good team. And we haven't had Kalinda in this type of professional relationship before. Blake was a one dimensional baddie, and the other investigators, whether they had backstory with her like Sophia or were working for the State Attorney's officle like childraising dad detective, were in an antagonistic position in the narrative. Here's hoping Robin stays around!

Everything else was just a smoothly oiled plot machine, still entertaining but a bit too familiar by now. I know I'm biased, but that goes most of all for any sexual tension situations between Will and Alicia. The case of the week had me believing for a while that the wife would indeed turn out to be the killer and then we'd have Alicia in the dilemma of finding out her client, whom she thought was simply the victim of an insurance unwilling to pay, was guilty of murder. In fact, when the woman her client's dead husband had an affair with was interrogated by Kalinda and Robin, that's what I thought her testimony meant, but then we got the third party driver in the wrap up scene with Coroner Odo (nice to see René Auberjonois again!), so no, and no such, imo, more interesting case of the week.

Eli giving Jordan the rope to hang himself with via the Nisa/Zack thing and succeeding in getting rid of Jordan via Alicia: well, at least Alicia in the end figured out he'd just been using her.

Cary and his father: would have won for most entertaining if not for the Kalinda and Robin scenes, as this time it wasn't traditional Daddy issues stuff but Dad going for a complicated son humilation by ways of disguise as help, and Cary out manoeuvring and outscheming him while maintaining the same smiling cover. (It reminds me of how he dealt with the unlamented Nick - "I'm your lawyer!".) Which is why the casting of John Shea, aka the Lex Luthor from Lois & Clark, as Cary's father continues to amuse me because this is so Luthor-esque.
