So, last year's Italian journey had the unexpected and pleasant result of me having been invited to spend ten days house-sitting, starting today, in a Venetian palazzo. To which one says YES PLEASE, never mind the need to catch up on various television shows later. I will get online in Venice, too, of course, just not for lengthy amounts of time, as I don't expect the palazzo in question to have wi fi, which means dashing to cafés offering same to keep the email exchanges going.
