I figured we could use some distraction while waiting - I know I could. So, I give you an autumnal beauties of Munich pic spam - trees and landmarks alike:

First, let's have some trees. I took these wandering through our city parks and on both sides of the river Isar.

On to the landmarks. That's the Monopeteros, in the biggest Munich City Park, called the "English Garden", the Englischer Garten. In summer, reliable to shock or delight, depending on one's pov, US tourists as a lot of people sun themselves au naturel or at least bare breasted. In pre-pandemic times, that is.

The angel statue in the back is the Friedensengel, the angel of peace, while a river god launges in the foreground.

We had the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, and the landmarks are still there. Like the Olympiaturm:

I took these from one of the hills in the Olympiapark, which is where you also get a pretty good view over the city, with the Alps in the background:

The weather looks lovely through most of these! Is it cold already, or as mild as it looks?

It hugely varies. On avarage around ten degrees Centigrade, but two days ago we had an amazing 21 degrees! On the other side of the scale, there's also een snow already.

Munich looks gorgeous! I love autumn. Most of the trees around here have completely shed their leaves already, so I can't enjoy the fall colors anymore.
