Whilst I'm still dazed from Antony and Cleopatra last night, here are some more pretty pictures, this time from Yorkshire & York, with some Northumberland thrown in:

Durham Cathedral isn't pretty. It's stunningly beautiful.

Sigh. Durham Cathedral. Another one I've always wanted to see. Though I have more innate feeling for York. In just about every way.

Did you get in Alnwick Castle? Or to see the gardens? I have met the Duke and got a tour .. fabulous. *glomps the North unashamedly* The chapel in Alnwick is also beautiful and so very very old - Anglo Saxon.

York minster is lovely, as is York itself.

I got in, but alas without meeting the Duke. The State Rooms are open to the public when he's not there.
