Easter Wells

Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates it. We followed family tradition and visited our Franconian Easter Wells again, which are extremely pretty, despite the fact the winter came back with a vengeance and so there is snow on the painted eggs. But have a look, even if you don't care for the holiday at all, I promise prettiness!










Every village here in Upper Franconia really comes up with its own variation, and attention to detail pays off:

Amazing and beautiful; so much detailed work! The rabbit school looks as if it dates back to at least the 19th century.

I wish we had such lovely customs.
